Tatiana Weston-Web was born May 9, 1996 in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Within 2 weeks of her birth in Brazil, Weston-Webb and her parents moved back to Hawaii in an effort to get Tatiana dual citizenship. Her mother (Tanira Weston-Webb) is Brazilian and was a professional body boarder and her father is American and has always been around surfing and enjoys the ocean life. Tatiana learned to surf when she was 8 years old by watching her older brother Troy.
When Tatiana was just 15 years old, she surfed in her first QS at Margaret’s and surfed against Stephanie Gilmore. She was determined to become a surf champion. Her inspirations of other female surfers are: Stephen Gilmore, Carissa Moore, Malia Manuel, Sally Fitzgibbons and Tyler Wright.
