The swell finally showed up for the Nike US Open 2012 Championships in sunny Huntington Beach, CA. The Women’s Junior Champion Crown went to Nikki Van Dijk (AUS), who walked away with some nice cash and bragging rights.
The Women’s Champion for 2012 went to Lakey Peterson (USA), 17, who defeated Carissa Moore (HAW), 19, to clinch the final event of the 2012 ASP Women’s World Championship Tour season, the Nike US Open of Surfing, in front of a capacity crowd at Huntington Beach.
